Craters

Gold star standard falling from the sky
Craters like a comet While the rest all wonder why
Somewhere on the surface of the moon
Above the buzzing satellites transmitting out of tune

This isn't what you hoped for
It isn't what you wished
As every little moment gets dismissed

Was it good for you? Is it good for me?
I guess that you can't find the light if no one wants to see
Counting down the minutes from the impact of this scene
Is it good for you? We're all intrigued

Nothing left but black holes out in space
Hiding spots for heroes when their names have been disgraced
Riding on this shadow of the sun
Where no one else can hear them scream or pray for anyone

This isn't what you asked for
It isn't what you planned
As every last temptation tied your hands

Am I dead to you? Are you dead to me?
I'm pretty sure you're faithless if there's nothing to believe
Stretching through the atmosphere to lose what you can't keep
Am I dead to you? I guess we'll see

Dodging all these victims coming out from every side
No one here can understand it so in turn they all abide
Now we're looking for some better thoughts to occupy our minds
When every time these lines still go ignored

Does it bother you? should it bother me?
While every moral high ground here can change like mercury
Turning into craters born as bankrupt currencies
Does it bother you? you're on your knees
It doesn't bother you, but I can't sleep

Gold star standard falling from the sky
Craters like a comet as the rest all wonder why
