Talking To The Wall

Hey there how's it going?
I think I'm talking to the wall
If I couldn't hear myself speak
Would I say anything at all?

We're all so damn oblivious
And I'm a hypocrite I know
But if you listened for a second
Then I'd try to let this go

When nothing comes inside
I wanted to take part in this but you won't realize
Look into my head, I said just look into my eyes
I'm talking to the wall again but that ain't no surprise

Hey there, you're not listening
When I keep shouting in your ear
If you looked down at the pavement
Could you even tell I'm here?

We're always so pre-occupied
And I'm no better in the end
But you'd think that when I go to talk
You could try to be my friend

When nothing comes inside
I wanted to take part in this but you won't realize
Look into my head, I said just look into my eyes
I'm talking to the wall again but that ain't no surprise

Eyes to view the chosen few
To play these games that we all knew
I knew them once before but now I'm blind

Well maybe this is litteral
It isn't some subliminal
Metaphoric thought to keep in mind

But I can't find it, I can't find it
Why is everything we do so hard to find?

When nothing comes inside
I wanted to take part in this but you won't realize
Look into my head, I said just look into my eyes
I'm talking to the wall again but that ain't no surprise
I'm talking to the wall again but that ain't no surprise
