End Of The Fairy Tale

The ending's cloudy in this story book
Some words disjointed as her body shook
With no one even daring now to look
She still took it all in stride

Her face reminded me of porcelain
Soft and pale just like an angel's skin
But now she's locked into a tail spin
And it's sinking in both sides

And still she wonders, still she doesn't know
But in these stories, there still remains some hope
Still she's longing, still her heart won't grow

And now she's trapped inside a house of mirrors
With nothing else except her drowning tears
They turned this sadness into her career
As her fears began to crawl

They say it's better to have loved and lost
Those fools don't know how many lines get crossed
Every good thing seems to have its cost
Like a pause for it to fall

And still she wonders, still she tries to wait
Flips through the pages, But the ending's still the same
Falls from heaven, she's falling out of grace

She didn't know how much she needed this
A thought, a feeling that she never knew she'd miss
Now her eyes are hidden by this veil
So it's the end of the fairy tale

And still she wonders, still she doesn't know
But in these stories, there still remains some hope
Still she's longing, still her heart won't grow

And still she wonders, still she tries to wait
Flips through the pages, But the ending's still the same
Falls from heaven, she's falling out of grace

I haven't heard her fairy voice in weeks
It hurts too much and so she barely speaks
But what do you do when you smell defeat?
It gets repeated much too fast

It's like the story that could never end
The final chapter and it's all pretend
She has some phrases that she might defend
But the ending's in the past
