Comedy Of Errors

It was the day that I'd just lost my mind
At least temporarily, I couldn't find it
I don't know what happened and I never ask why
But that's just the scary part that I still can't rewind

I can't replay it because the thought is suppressed
The mere mention of the moment leaves me feeling depressed
I yelled from my throat and sang from my chest
There's nothing to confess, nothing to confess

Why don't things ever go according to plan?
Maybe there's somebody that could lend me a hand?
There's no applause needed, because you won't understand
This comedy of errors, my comedy of errors

It was the night that I slept here alone
But you were still beautiful, when we talked on the phone line
Ironic to know it, because they put on a show
But that's just the funny part that I still can't condone

Now I can't relive it 'cause the time has since past
The mere motion of movement has me feeling so crass
I thought with my heart and spoke with my ass
There's nothing that lasts here, there's nothing that lasts

Why don't things ever go according to plan?
Maybe there's somebody that could lend me a hand?
There's no applause needed, because you won't understand
This comedy of errors, my comedy of errors

Circling like vultures, they rise overhead
Like the angels that hover when I sleep in my bed
Forget all the screw-ups and things that I've said
Let sleeping dogs lie and this beaten horse dead

Why don't things ever go according to plan?
Maybe there's somebody that could lend me a hand?
There's no applause needed, because you won't understand
This comedy of errors, my comedy of errors

You don't understand it, no you don't understand
You don't understand it, no you don't understand
You don't understand it, no you don't understand
You don't understand, you don't understand
