Simple Life

If there's anything I've learned in this simple life
It's that you can't stop somebody from a slow suicide
You can stay, you can pray, it won't matter anyway
Because God will only save who he really wants to save

Would you stop blaming yourself?
It doesn't matter anyhow

If there's anything I've seen in this simple life
It's that you have to walk away when you're losing a fight
You can bitch, you can twitch, you can throw a hissy fit
But the moral of the story is that God won't give a shit

Would you stop kicking yourself?
It still won't change things anyhow

Walk away, now walk away
From all the things you never got to say
I know the call, it came too late
But please don't ever hesitate

Now stop reliving the past
You know that nothing ever lasts

If there's anything I've caught in this simple life
It's that you can't waste forever now on wondering why
You can groan, you can moan until you end up all alone
Feeling cheated and defeated when in time we're all disowned
Feeling cheated and defeated when in time we're all disowned
