Above An Intersection In Hamilton

I stood above the traffic
To look past those busy streets
Thinking over where my life went
Every day I spent asleep

In each defining moment
I could do so many things
Far beyond what was decided
On that day in early spring

Was I surfacing fast? Did I ever wake up?
If I woke from my slumber, was the action enough?
To break free... did I break free?

So now I sit in silence
Looking back on what I've built
With each matter of opinion
I don't ever feel much guilt

I've pushed through many boundaries
Tried to prove my own self-worth
When I found myself sleepwalking
I went searching for rebirth

Was I surfacing fast? Did I ever wake up?
If I woke from my slumber, was the action enough?
To break free... did I break free?

Was I surfacing fast? Did I ever wake up?
If I woke from my slumber, was it reason enough?
To break free... did I break free?
To break free... did I break free?
