False Starts (incomplete)

Faltered in my innocence
Made with every mushroom cloud
Was this world always so cumbersome?
From my childhood fears somehow

We grew up in the distance
But these bombs fall fast and sharp
So why did it have to come to this?
In a lifetime of false starts

Now I keep counting the reasons
For all connections that I've set aside
You know it used to be so easy
But now I can't find one place to hide, one place to hide

Love is a dream that I gave away
Left it with the homeless hearts gone astray
I'm not coming back, I'm not coming back again

Everybody knows what I tried to do
As the world starts imploding, I'm not running after you
I'll be so far gone, I'll be skipping to the end

Intricate the fake designs
Held on fears sunk underneath
Was this world tied up with something else?
Excuses made from their beliefs
